Mazā Nometņu street 22 is a multistory building complex in Agenskalns that features two newly built structures alongside a renovation project, seamlessly merging contemporary design with historical context. The architecture incorporates in its volumetric language a story inspired by the origins of the street name “Māzā nometne” Small camp —once a route used by the Polish army walking to their campsite full of white tents.
The complex incorporates simple, utilitarian materials like tin, concrete tiles, stainless steel details and rough plastering. Built with proportions reflecting traditional architecture, honoring the area’s heritage while contributing to its modern landscape.
